The minister of transport, Flemming Hansen, has seen better days. After being one of three ministers who Pia Kjærsgaard, the chairperson of the Danish People's Party last week said should be fired, he has now been voted the worst minister in the land.
The poll, conducted by Greens Analysis Institute, indicated that Hansen received near failing grades from the Danish public, an '8' on the Danish 13-scale.
Recently, Flemming Hansen has taken much of the heat for the crisis with DSB, Denmark's public rail transport, which has had numerous problems with train cancellations and delays.
Rasmus Jönsson, external scholar in political communication at Roskilde Univeristy, believes an '8'-rating is surprisingly high for Hansen.
'There have been a lot of recent affairs where the government was seen as not being strong enough, but the wear-and-tear hasn't seemed to have hit yet, and seen from the government's point of view, that's important,' said Jönsson.
