Beach guests getting X-rated show
At the unofficial nude beach in Ishøj, south of Copenhagen, guests are getting an eyeful of more than just naked bodies
Hot temperatures this summer are not deterring beachgoers feeling a little frisky from engaging in intercourse on public beaches. Reports of peopeople having sex on Ishøj beach are streaming in like never before on Ishøj, just south of Copenhagen, according to Ishøj local police.
'We have received more reports this year. The first one actually came from colleague who, along with their 12-year old child, found themselves crossing the path of a couple engaging in intercourse,' said Palle Blak Pedersen, head of the local police force in Ishøj.
Pedersen said that couples caught in the act can face up to four years in prison for indecent exposure.
At the Ishøj beach, which is a part of a larger beach park in Køge, men in particular go to the beach hoping to watch sexual encounter by other beach guest. Known as 'beach rats, police will be keeping an eye out for those people as well when checking beaches for x-rated activities.
Although the Danish Naturist Association promotes nudism for health reasons, it acknowledged that sex on the beach is problem.
'It's fine if people want to have sex in the open, but then it should be done in places where it won't disturb others,' said Kim Bindesbøll Andersen, information officer of the association, to public service broadcaster DR.
